Commencement is a time of great celebration and promise. For those of you visiting us for the first time, I extend a warm welcome. The parents, friends and families of the graduates have provided essential support to them over the years. I know that you share their pride at achieving this milestone. Please take the time to explore our vibrant campus as you enjoy this happy occasion.
As you step into the world beyond the campus you should look back with pride on your accomplishments at the university. The talents and successes of this class are remarkable. I am certain that you will make significant contributions to society and help lead us to a brighter future.
